Our Growing Boy!

At 7 weeks - little Andrew is getting big! He is changing everyday! His once skinny legs are getting chunky (gotta love the folds) and his cheeks are so "pinchable". He is almost 13 pounds Everyone says he is looking so much like his Daddy! I think he is looking more like Ava did as a baby too. He is smiling back at us now which is the greatest...and apparently I am pretty funny! :)

SurferGirl
Tomorrow is Ava's 3rd birthday! Our little girl is 3 already! The time really does go so fast!
Today Ava is having a birthday party at Cecilia's (daycare) with "her kids" as she calls them. Last night we made Little Mermaid cupcakes with aqua frosting & pink sprinkles. Then we put together little goody treat bags for everyone. She is VERY excited about her special celebration with her kids.
Before bed, we announced that daddy will be taking tomorrow off work so we can have a day to celebrate her birthday together! We explained the plans we have for the day, which include THE BEACH - Ava's newly found fun place. Yes, it took almost 3 years to get our family to the beach.
We are not much of a beach going family - until now. Ava had a quick unplanned first visit to the beach a few weeks ago, and LOVED it. We decided it would be fun to plan a beach day. Ava's birthday seemed like the perfect time.
So last night, as we explained with great enthusiasm, the big day we have planned - Ava was very excited. Her first comment, completely serious, was "I DON'T WANNA SURF".
Surf? We have never discussed surfing, watched surfing, been surfing...where did she get this idea? We have only been to the beach once in over 3 years. SURF? You kind of had to be there, but she was very serious and it was hilarious. Anyway, we will be at the beach tomorrow and at 3:35 pm our little baby girl will be three years old.
But don't worry, we will not be SURFING!

They're Everywhere

I love this picture of all the kids from Andrew's Baby Shower.
The Enriquez Boys - Azlan, Adrian, Atticus (and Nephews), Ava Kcomt, Kaya Nepomuceno, Sophie & Nina Raquel & Alana Miller. I really hope we can take more frequent group pictures of all the kids together. It's a tricky process, but so worth it!

Our Family Blog!
Here's to our new family Blog! I did it...even with a newborn grunting and squirming nearby! I am following in the footsteps a few friends and creating this space to keep in touch with those we love. Our family is now constantly growing, changing and on the move - so this is the perfect place to share it all. Hopefully our other Internet savvy friends & family (it's really easy, actually!) will follow too & create a space for their families so we can all stay up to date together! Keep your fingers crossed that I can keep this going on a regular basis!
